Lord Shiva
Shiva is Mahadeva, the great God: destroyer of ignorance, lord of yogis, and the gentlest giver to those who call on him with a sincere heart. He is worshipped in our temple as the Shiva Linga, the formless symbol of the infinite.
The crescent moon on his brow speaks of calm, the Ganga flowing from his hair represents divine grace, and the blue throat of Neelakantha reminds us of his compassion for the world.
ॐ नमः शिवाय
The five-syllable mantra Na-Ma-Shi-Va-Ya can be chanted anywhere, by anyone, at any hour to invoke his presence.
Visiting Guidelines
- Darshan is open to all devotees regardless of background.
- Please remove footwear before entering the temple premises.
- Modest and traditional attire is requested.
- Offerings like Bilva leaves, flowers, and fruits can be given to the priests.
